India's digital health infrastructure is being built right now
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is creating shared digital health infrastructure across hospitals, clinics, diagnostic labs, and pharmacies, with the Unified Health Interface (UHI) supporting interoperable digital services on top of it. Independent market research estimates India's hospital market at roughly US$99 billion in 2023, projected to nearly double by 2032 — one of the largest national healthcare markets in the world.
